Technical specifications
The DJI Matrice 4TD is the Swiss Army knife of our fleet. One aircraft, four sensors — thermal infrared camera, wide-angle 48 MP, telephoto 48 MP and super-telephoto 48 MP — covering all our inspection, surveillance, mapping and aerial photography missions. With 49 minutes of endurance, IP55 weather resistance and 25 km transmission range, it is the platform we deploy across all of the region's demanding terrain.
One drone, four sensors
Thermal camera — 640 × 512 px
f/1.0 lens, super-resolution to 1,280 × 1,024 px, thermal sensitivity below 30 mK, measurement range from -20 °C to +550 °C. These specifications make the Matrice 4TD one of the most precise thermal drones available on the professional market. It detects a 0.03 °C anomaly from tens of metres away.
Triple visible lens — 48 megapixels each
- Wide-angle: 24 mm equivalent, f/1.7 — ideal for mapping and panoramic photography
- Telephoto: 70 mm equivalent, f/2.8 — building documentation, event coverage
- Super-telephoto: 168 mm equivalent, f/2.8 — structure inspection from a safe standoff distance, zooming in on a structural defect at 80 metres
4K video at 30 fps
Multi-sensor simultaneous recording, 3-axis stabilisation, smooth real-time video transmission up to 25 km. Ideal for event coverage, heritage overflights or construction site documentation.
Field performance
The Matrice 4TD is engineered for demanding professional operations:
- 49-minute endurance: the longest in its class, enabling large area coverage without interruption
- IP55 rating: dust and water spray resistant — operable in drizzle or strong wind
- Wind resistance: 12 m/s — fully operational in the often windy conditions of the Burgundy plateaux
- 25 km range: coverage of large rural territories without relocating the pilot
- CATS certification: authorised under DGAC Specific category for complex, beyond-line-of-sight and night operations
Our missions with the Matrice 4TD
Thermal inspection
Roofs, solar panels, pylons, electrical networks — the f/1.0 thermal camera detects anomalies that classical methods cannot localise without scaffolding.
Surveillance and security
Day or night, the thermal sensor detects human presence or abnormal heat sources. The 25 km range and 49-minute endurance enable uninterrupted perimeter patrols.
Infrastructure inspection
The 168 mm super-telephoto lens allows detailed inspection of a bridge, pylon or wind turbine from a safe standoff distance, without approaching hazardous zones or disrupting traffic.
Mapping and topography
The 48 MP wide-angle sensor produces orthophotos of sufficient resolution for topographic surveys, volume calculations and 3D photogrammetric models.
Video and communication
The optical quality of the triple lens system and 3-axis gyroscopic stabilisation produce cinematic imagery suited to communication, destination marketing and real estate.
